OPEN YOUR EARS!

ACTIVELY EXPERIENCE ART

We are delighted that OPEN YOUR EARS is arousing such interest among visitors large and small and is now firmly established in its third year in Salzburg.

Let’s take a look back together: During the last season almost 5,800 listeners attended our concerts, took part in our workshops and enjoyed listening to and making music.

Children and teenagers also feel at home in our museums. More than 2,600 school children took part in museum tours in order to walk in Mozart’s footsteps.

From the outset our goal was to create a music initiation program of the very highest quality. Music projects for children and young people are a unique opportunity to get young listeners excited about music and to pique their curiosity to embark on their own musical adventure.

This season we are pursuing the same objective and have again created a fascinating and diverse program for children, young people, and families alike.

A number of projects and concert types from the program for children and young people have become firmly established in the concert diary of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg. Thus, the MITTENDRIN (BE A PART OF IT), LAUSCH (LISTENING) and PICCOLO concerts will again be taking place this year.

For older children we have developed new projects alongside established, popular ‘classics’. Here, once again our intention is to provide the opportunity to experience and make music through interaction with artists and hands-on experience.

We want to thank our partners in schools and preschools for the success of our program for whom music is as essential as it is for us. They play a key role in the implementation of our projects and we would like to offer them our heartfelt thanks! And of course we would also like to thank our many partners without whose support many projects would not be possible.

We wish you many inspiring encounters with the multifaceted world of music. Our annual program provides a visual foretaste of our new projects. OPEN YOUR EARS! We hope you enjoy music with all your senses.
