1. MOZART REPORTERS

With Mozart on air

The MOZART REPORTERS will be on the air once again during the Mozart Week. Since 2008, school children from Salzburg have been out and about every year equipped with a microphone and recorder as MOZART REPORTERS. They record soundbites from artists, vox pops and interesting information on selected works and from behind the scenes at concerts. During the Mozart Week the cub reporters will again be on the air with Mozart.

2. A DISCOVERY TOUR THROUGH MOZART'S RESIDENCE

A day in the life of Mozart: Mozart Residence

In 1773, the Mozart family moved into the so-called Tanzmeisterhaus on present-day Makartplatz because they had outgrown their house in Getreidegasse. Mozart lived here for seven years before moving to Vienna. The house provides information on Mozart’s life and stories of everyday existence in the composer’s era. Audio guides recount the exciting story of the building, tell of Mozart’s work as a composer during his years in Salzburg and outline what society was like at the time. There is a particular emphasis on the women around Mozart – especially his sister Nannerl – his travels throughout Europe and his favorite pastime of Bölzlschießen (target shooting).
