SOURCE DATABASE

The Digital Mozart Edition systematically captures and indexes all manuscript and printed sources of the works of Mozart.  The reference file of the NMA was digitized though a grant provided by Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung (FWF) and serves as the basis for the DME.  The source database, which currently is only available at the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg, encompasses more than 700 autographs (including sketches und fragments), 6,000 manuscript copies and 1,800 historical music prints stemming from over 500 libraries worldwide.
