NEW MOZART EDITION
During his short lifetime, Mozart completed more than 600 works and began an additional 150 works which were never completed, a fact which is often overlooked. The Neue Mozart Ausgabe (NMA), prepared by the Internationale Mozarteum Foundation from 1954 to 2007 and published by Bärenreiter Verlag, Kassel, resulted in 127 music volumes containing 25,000 pages of music and 101 separately published critical reports containing some 9,000 pages of commentary. The NMA is the first complete works edition of a major composer available to the general public on the internet free of charge.
