The artists present the Mediterranean programme Mare, enriched with improvisations.
3,500 concerts in every conceivable country in the world - no one can match the spirited musicians of Quadro Nuevo. Their songs have taken them from Bavaria to Bari, across the Balkans through the Middle East to Cairo, from Buenos Aires to faraway Hong Kong. The venues are as diverse as the roots of their music. The Mediterranean way of life has always characterised the instrumental art of this music and travel addicted ensemble, finding its way into the repertoire in the form of Italian tangos, the French valse, Aegean myth melodies or Neapolitan street songs. In their programme Mare, the sound of waves, the sea breeze and the scent of dolce vita become music.
