Trio for piano No. 2 in E minor, op. 67
In the course of his work on Mozart's legacy, Maximilian Stadler compiled three Mozart movements that he had completed into a piano trio in D minor alongside other fragments. In Heritage to Horizon, musical heritage and new horizons are skilfully interwoven, and Mozart's unfinished movement is heard twice with a further contemporary addition. The composer Dora Pejačević, born in 1885, who enjoyed great success during her lifetime but disappeared from concert programmes after her early death, also guarantees ‘new’ perspectives. Her gradual rediscovery began in the 1990s, starting in her native Croatia. The accio piano trio also repeatedly devotes itself to the music of unjustly forgotten female composers.
