The king of the baroque lute is back in Salzburg and brings us his latest project:
The lute book by Francesco Spinacino (1507) and Joan Ambrosio Dalza (1508) are milestones in music history. The music publisher Petrucci from Venice published this first printed collection of music for lute. Alongside a few fragments of tablature, these were also the first sources for the instrument. Both are evidence of the flourishing lute culture at the beginning of the 16th century in Italy.
