Far away from hustle and bustle and commercialism, the Bach Society invites you to truly get in the mood for Christmas. What better way to do this than with J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio? During the composer's lifetime, the work was probably performed only once, but today it is considered the most popular and famous sacred music from his pen. The Christmas Oratorio with Michi Gaigg has been a permanent fixture in the Bach Society's concert season for many years. The Collegium Vocale Salzburg, a select ensemble of soloists and the vividly musical L'Orfeo Baroque Orchestra work together to tell the story of the birth of the Son of God.
