No. 1: Introspection, Buenos Aires Ritual, Buenos Aires Resonances, Kageliana, Canto del Payún Matrú & Tango Legacy
The Buenos Aires-born bandoneon virtuoso and composer Omar Massa is regarded as the successor to the tango revolutionary Astor Piazzolla. Inspired by the new paths taken by Piazzolla, Massa combines the authentic sound of his home city of Buenos Aires with the European chamber music tradition in his own compositions. In their exciting program Buenos Aires Today, the members of the trio walk together in the footsteps of Tango Nuevo and, enriched with the sounds of the 21st century, take it not only in new directions, but also to new heights.
