Live music at the original venue: the museum concert, held within the beautiful walls of the Tanzmeistersaal – where the Mozart family once lived – focuses on early music performed on historical instruments, which is not something one gets to experience every day at concerts. This season, baroque instruments such as the transverse flute and the viola da gamba will be featured – in an adaptation for young concert-goers.

THE FUTURE OF THE PAST

Ausgehend von Wolfgang Amadé Mozart und seiner musikalischen Welt führt dieses Schulkonzert auf historischen Instrumenten von der Bach-Familie bis in die Gegenwart. Im Mittelpunkt steht ein rätselhaftes Manuskript aus der Sammlung von Sara Levy, das der Komponist Daniel Serrano erst kürzlich vervollständigt hat. Als Gast des Konzerts wird er Einblicke in seine Arbeit geben und zeigen, wie musikalische Traditionen immer wieder neu zum Klingen gebracht werden.
