Through two rounds—semifinal and final—they must perform their way to a place on the coveted winners’ podium. Every year in late summer, young talents from around the world present themselves at the International ARD Music Competition, which is not without reason often described as the “Olympic Games of music.” The level of competition is immense, and an award frequently marks the starting point of a promising international career.
In spring 2027, prizewinners from the piano category (2025) and the string quartet category (2026) will be featured in concert at the historic Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum Foundation.
