The DomQuartier becomes an intimate setting where music, dance, culinary delights and historical games bring Salzburg’s Romantic era to life. Romanticism placed emotion, imagination and longing at the centre. When Franz Schubert visited Salzburg in 1825, he found inspiration in the city’s Baroque charm and its idyllic yet dramatic landscapes. His vision of Salzburg continues to shape our image of the city today and forms the starting point for this evening’s programme. Schubert and numerous Salzburg composers of his time take centre stage.
