Works by: Johann Michael Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Ernst Eberlin, Georg Reutter the Younger, Leopold Mozart.
The Mülln pilgrimage and monastery church is one of the most magnificent baroque churches in Salzburg and is closely associated with Mozart and Haydn. Many of the church music works by Michael Haydn, 19 years his senior, served as models for Mozart and as a source of inspiration for his own work. In the concert for the patron saint's day of the Müllner Church, the Assumption of Mary, the Collegium Vocale Salzburg of the Salzburg Bach Society takes us to the roots of Salzburg's ecclesiastical style and brings extraordinary musical treasures to our ears that recently lay dormant in archives and are now being heard for the first time.
