"From Buchbinder comes the best complete Mozart," stated the web portal Classics Today. Mozart also takes a central role in celebration of the 80th birthday of the renowned Austrian pianist. CAMERATA will be the dialogue partner of Rudolf Buchbinder in three Mozart concertos, all conducted by him from the piano. This is the orchestra that has been intimately connected with the deeply personal piano concertos of the Salzburg master since its inception. The ideal conditions for a musical birthday celebration, where sparkling melodic and structurally clear piano artistry meets chamber music sensitivity. Buchbinder, who has played the piano for 75 years and been performing for 70 years (!), spans with CAMERATA a journey through Mozart's wonderful piano concerto world, from the early Salzburg E-flat major Concerto KV 271, composed by Mozart for the French pianist Louise Victoire Jenamy, to his first minor-key concerto KV 466, which already carries the dramatic power of Don Giovanni, and on to the great C major Concerto KV 503, which foreshadows Beethoven.
