Chamber music, concerto, and symphony:
Beethoven’s Triple Concerto unites three essential pillars of CAMERATA’s music-making. It is therefore a representative work for the 75th anniversary celebration, whose grand dimensions CAMERATA will explore with a top-class quartet of soloists: artistic partners Janine Jansen and Julian Prégardien, together with pianist Mao Fujita and cellist Kian Soltani, with whom CAMERATA has ambitious plans for the future. The Triple Concerto also commemorates the composer in Beethoven Year 2027 (200th anniversary of his death), as does his Symphony No. 7 in A major. In this symphony, a humanistic spirit and creative drive form an ideal melodic and rhythmic synthesis. In the second movement, all the musicians symbolically join hands in a dance of peace. As an anniversary also offers the opportunity for new beginnings, the CAMERATA-commissioned Concerto for Chamber Orchestra by Swedish composer Lisa Streich—one of the most exciting composers of our time—will receive its world premiere.
