No other singer today is as synonymous with the art song as Julian Prégardien. Although equally impressive in opera and oratorio with his deeply expressive tenor, the German singer particularly thrives in the lyrical, poetic, and romantic genre of the Lied. He repeatedly immerses himself in this cosmos, especially with Schubert’s songs but also works by other composers in this tradition. To allow an orchestra like CAMERATA, known for its sonorous tone and chamber-music sensitivity, to be part of this world, orchestral arrangements of two song compositions by Beethoven and Schubert have been selected. These works already present epic song scenes in their original form, which gain even greater depth with orchestral accompaniment. In addition to these vocal pieces, the CAMERATA will also perform Schubert’s endless "song without words"—his B minor Symphony.
