Estonian soprano Karin Lehismets and Italian pianist Francesca Cardone, both residents of Salzburg, embark on a musical and literary journey through European music history to explore the creative diversity of outstanding female composers from this cultural region and trace their common roots. From Italian composers Elsa Resphighi, Silvia Bianchera and Roberta Vacca, the musical journey continues via singer and composer Pauline Viardot and cosmopolitan Alma Mahler with Otilie Sukova and Martinu's student Viteszslava Kaprálová to Czechia and then north to Tallinn with Ester Mägi.
