The girl Franzi considers trees to be living bundles of energy that should be preserved at all costs; their number should be increased rather than regarding them as taking up space in inner-city areas. Encouraged by her friend Moo and others who think as she does, she embarks on a great adventure to the end of the world to make a major contribution with the help of a very special tree.
