Guided tour on the International Women's Day

Lilli Lehmann was an internationally acclaimed opera star, but also a distinguished vocal coach and one of the most important patrons of the International Mozarteum Foundation. She was one of the first women ever to stage Mozart’s operas in Salzburg. She played a key role in supporting the construction of the Mozarteum building and, despite opposition in Salzburg, succeeded in securing the purchase of Mozart’s birthplace to ensure it remained permanently open to the public. 

Drawing on original documents from the artist’s estate, this guided tour offers a direct insight into her life and work.
