6.45 p.m.: Introductory lecture in the Fördererlounge

Mozart wrote his Clarinet Concerto only two months before his premature death. The lyrical second movement in particular belongs to his most moving musical heritage. Farewell and grief are also the theme of Les nuits d’été, songs with orchestral accompaniment by Berlioz. Both works are of central importance in the second concert by the Vienna Philharmonic with three outstanding artists.
