Season Concerts 2020/21
Chamber music not as a luxury article, but as food: varied, colourful, sometimes demanding, sometimes entertaining, pushing boundaries, never boring and always existential – this is how we at the Salzburg Mozarteum Foundation understand Mozart’s succession and this is how you should experience it concert after concert with our artists.
Song recitals, a new location and Mozart Lab
Just as last year, a focus will be on song recitals. We are happy to welcome Elīna Garanča for this intimate musical form back to the Salzach, just as Rafael Fingerlos, Douglas Williams and Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke. Our after work concerts will find a new home in the Villa Vicina next door to the Mozarteum Foundation. In the Mozart-LAB concerts, young and promising artists will be heard, as Isata Kanneh-Mason or the Viano String Quartet. The City of Birmingham Orchestra will celebrate its 100th anniversary in our Great Hall with conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, and our opening week in October will present Benjamin Schmid & friends, Les Musiciens du Louvre and Christoph Koncz on Mozart's concert violin or Lucas and Arthur Jussen. We are looking forward to seeing you!
