Johann Sebastian Bach Cantata Schweigt stille, plaudert nicht, BWV 211 'Coffee' cantata
It was like a musical wake-up call when, in 1789, Mozart heard Johann Sebastian Bach’s motet Singet dem Herrn (‘Sing to the Lord’) in Leipzig. A ‘return visit’ takes place when the internationally renowned ensemble BachWerkVokal Salzburg, directed by Gordon Safari, performs Bach’s ‘Coffee’ Cantata in the Café Classic coffee house.
