LatinoMozart in the truest sense of the word: Valsillo builds a musical bridge between Austria and Latin America. With these two world premieres, the Iberacademy is initiating a dialogue based on two rhythms that closely link the two cultures: Viennese waltz and pasillo. The latter originated in the early 19th century during the wars of independence in the Colombian Andes as a Creole adaptation of the classic Viennese waltz. An excursion into Baroque Italy is provided by exceptional artist Avi Avital with virtuoso mandolin music by Antonio Vivaldi. And of course Mozart is not to be missed.
One intermission; end at approx. 9.10 p.m.
LATINO MOZART TICKET = 1 x visit in the Mozart Residence admission free (valid Sept. 27 - 29, 2024)
