The programme After Silence was developed for the 15th anniversary of the ensemble during the pandemic. The title is based on a quote by Aldous Huxley: "From pure sensation to the sensation of beauty, from pleasure to pain and the mystical ecstasy of death - all things essential and profound to the human spirit cannot be uttered, but only experienced. The rest is always and everywhere silence. After silence, music is the most suitable for expressing the inexpressible.

Voces8 takes us on a journey of its development through music from Bach to Mahler, from Monteverdi to Britten and Ešenvalds.
