The two Mozart museums offer a varied program of guided tours. Depending on the varying interests and age groups of individual visitors, groups, and school classes, the information about the life and music of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart is geared to the appropriate age and specific interest.
Guided tours are only available by upon request.
No reservation is required if the group does not desire a guided tour.
There is a group discount for 10 people or more:
10.- € per person (15.- € combined ticket)
From 15 people, one person is admitted free of charge (every 16th)
School groups (up 18 yeras of age):
Admission fee when in a school group 3.00 € (4.50 € combined ticket),
For every ten students, one supervising adult is admitted for free.
Payment by voucher possible only after a written agreement has been obtained!

Mozart – early childhood of a genius
250 years ago a boy grew up in Salzburg who soon became famous throughout Europe. How old was he when he picked up a violin for the first time? Did he go to kindergarten or school? What was his favourite drink? And is it true that he composed his first piece of music at the age of six?

Mozart – Living and growing up in Salzburg in the 18th century
How long did Mozart live in Salzburg? How big was his parents’ apartment? Did he have his own nursery, did he go to school? Is it true that he could play the piano blindly and what did his first self-written notes look like?

Guided tour & special workshop
45-minute action-packed guided tour for children through Mozart’s apartment in Mozart’s birthplace, Getreidegasse 9; joint crafting of a calendar of class events in the form of the Mozart birthplace. The calendar can be taken along.

Christmas with the Mozart family
The Mozart family lived 250 years ago in Salzburg. How was Christmas celebrated during this time? Did the Mozart’s also sing Christmas songs under the Christmas tree? Was there already an Advent calendar for the children? This dialogue tour answers questions about everyday life in the 18th century and at the same time tells many details about the life of the Mozart family.

Mozart’s birthplace – a house full of stories!
The yellow house in Getreidegasse is now world-famous for being the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. However, it is also a typical old house in Salzburg’s city centre, full of exciting stories. We walk together from the cellar to the roof of the house and get to know the most hidden corners of an 800-year-old house.
For 10 to 14 year olds
Mozart – more than just Salzburg
Mozart lived in Getreidegasse for 17 years. Soon after his move to the other side of the Salzach he left the town. What happened to him? Where did he go, which people were important to him? A tour that presents more than “the child prodigy”.

Family Mozart – very private
In 1773 the Mozart family moved into the Tanzmeisterhaus. How can you imagine life there? Learn more about festivals, travels, concerts and the family life of the Mozarts. See instruments, books and pictures from the original time and experience the splendour of the in-house festival hall.

Leopold Mozart special tour
The musician and composer Leopold Mozart was for a long time “only” the father of the musical wunderkind Wolfgang Amadé Mozart. But he was also a famous personality of the 18th century. Together we will embark on an exciting journey into his life and works in the former Tanzmeisterhaus.

The guided tour through the ‘Wolfgang Amadé Mozart: The Daily Life of Child Prodigy’ exhibition takes approximately 1 hour.(max. 25 people or 1 school class)

Are you interested in experiencing Mozart’s music in an authentic setting?
Upon request, we are happy to organize a short piano presentation for your group when you visit Mozart’s Birthplace – whether during the day or outside the regular opening hours. Discover the original sound of Mozart on a fortepiano dating from the 18th century and learn more about keyboard instruments from Mozart’s era.
Duration: approx. 20 minutes
Fee: 210.- €, plus the museum admission fee
Would you like to show Mozart’s Birthplace to your friends in a particularly exclusive and intimate atmosphere, away from the streams of visitors?
Then you might desire an evening tour of the former living quarters of the Mozart family – with or without music.
Fees:
Museum access (outside the regular opening hours, including staff): 360.- € plus museum admission fee
Guided tour: 80.- € in German; 99.-€ in English, French, Italian, Spanish
Piano concert: 280.- €
