Introductory lecture: Destination Mozart

What’s up at the Mozart Week during the second weekend? Ulrich Leisinger, director of research, will inform the English-speaking audience in entertaining manner about the highlights of the weekend. He looks back at L'Orfeo and Rolando Villazon’s general idea of this year’s programme and give short introductions to events #46 (Vienna Philharmonic III) and #51 Final concert) in particular since the pre-concert talks for these events are being held in German. And what will be the highlight of the Mozartweek 2026 when we celebrate Mozart’s 270th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of the Mozartweek?
